Lottery Winner Goes Back To Work

This guy from Wales won 2.7 million dollars in the lottery and decided to go back to work at McDonald's. Why? Because it says it makes him happy. He said he loves to work and just loves being there and could only do so much relaxing. He makes more money on interest than he does working at McDonald's. I tell you what if i didn't have to work ever again I would find stuff to do to keep me occupied instead of having to go and work. Either I need to apply to work at McDonald's, find a job that i actually like, or win the lottery. I think the odds are better to get a job at McDonald's. Hell I could super size someones meal and flip some burgers. I bet I could find a way to spend all those millions as well. Hell I could plan my day out for you if I didn't have to work and be a millionaire. Wake up feed the fish, dogs, self and hit the golf course. After golfing all day get some food and go down to my bar in my basement grab a draft beer and turn on the big screen TV, fire up the Xbox 360 and play some video games. When some friends or whoever get there and shoot some pool and continue to drink, maybe play some darts or more video games. Party hard have fun and eventually pass out. Now tell me that's not the life. If i ever win the lottery you might want to look me up and be my friend. Excuse me sir could i get a #2 super sized, hey aren't you that guy that won like 3 million dollars? Ding fries are done.

Ouch

Sorry to have a delay in posts here guys but really i can explain. Easter Sunday I was busy doing the family thing and then I had to help the Mayor of Heuvelton finish up our fantasy baseball stuff for the start of the season. (thanks Boston and Oakland for having to play in Tokyo teasing us with opening day crap to only really have opening day a week later) Then I was going to explain to you how awesome my Easter dinner was but I didn't want to rub it in. Then Monday well nothing exciting went on Monday that I can think of. Then Tuesday was a painful night. I was at work just like any other Tuesday blue day when my old man called and said "hey want to go to the 'Cuse game tonight", naturally how can you say no. So my old man, myself, and a couple of his work buddies all made the trip to the 'Cuse. For all of you that watched the game know the what I mean by the headline ouch. For those of you that did not catch the game you are lucky because it was painful. I will give you a brief hopefully painless recap of the game. The Cuse played an AWESOME first half with a lead of 19 i believe at the half. Second half came out kind of flat but still was in control of the game. Once the 11 minute mark hit and the UMASS team starting to wear down the Orange thing's got ugly. By ugly i mean FUGLY. Slowly but surley UMASS crept back into the game. Less than a minute to go Cuse up 1 inbounding the ball turn it over UMASS easy layup and their first lead of the game. (Pitt game allover again???) Cuse get the ball in Green goes to the rack gets swatted UMASS hits foul shots Cuse did not, Game Over thanks for playing drive home safe. I have never seen 20,000+ fan's do so much crying, and just have that look of are you kidding me right now. I mean i could not believe that happened. Blew such a huge lead, and by huge we almost left 5 minutes into the half because the Cuse was up so much and we thought they were going to just pound them, move on to MSG and play Florida. Not so much. Now if UNC loses tonight I will cry and have nobody or nothing to root for until the Pirates start their season vs Atlanta Monday. My team is still in playoff contentions and it is exciting for me. Every year is a new beginning. Back to the Cuse game, not only did they lose but on the way home we hit some fluke snow storm and had to travel 30 mph all the way home. Needless to say it was not a pleasant ride home 2 am and sleepy eye's i finally make it home and sleep the night away. Good fight good night.

Happy Easter

Well the Title pretty much explains it all. Happy Easter everybody. I tried to fast(not sure about the spelling) last night and had no such luck.

Thirsty Thursday

With March Madness going on I left work and went and hung out with the Mayor of Heuvelton had a couple beers, talked a little baseball, and watched some College Basketball, and had another beer or 3. Then we went to Club DT and had another couple beers. 6 o clock came around and he had to go upstairs for indoor horseshoe league. I had never been apart of it but wanted to check it out see what all the loud thumping was about above the bar on Thursdays. As soon as i walk in i see some make shift ladder i guess which involved about 8 guys and two ladders. One ladder was inserted 3 quarters the way up holding another ladder that was straight up. Some little guy climbed it so they could change the light bulbs on horseshoe pit 4 i think it was. It was something you would see on the Internet like kids don't try this at home, or you might be a redneck if. I was tempted to take a picture with my cell so i could show you guys but i think i was the only one with a cell phone let alone a cellphone that takes pictures and i didn't want to amaze the simple folk and have to explain it and take the chance of them wanting to touch it or use it. So as i sit at the bar above talking with The Mayor trying to embrace what is going on around me all I heard was the metal on metal of the horseshoe consistently hitting the pole or whatever you call it. These guys were all business. Apparently the week before some guy had 12 ringers in 16 throws. I would be lucky to probably get 1 ringer in 16 throws. I was asked to play and before they could even get the question out i had already refused. I don't know why but that group of guys made me feel more uncomfortable then i have felt in a long time possibly ever. I mean people were arguing over 6 dollars. Asking for proper change when ordering a soda. It was like ok this is what the carnies do during the winter. The beer started kicking in so i ventured to the bathroom. It was a nasty looking toilet with a sign that says something like make sure to flush and make sure to piss in the toilet not the floor. Seriously. Naturally the handle on the toilet was broke and the lid was off the top of the toilet so in order to flush it you had to pull it manually. Let's just say sorry guys i did not flush. The sink was a make shift sink with a hose and like a plastic tub type thing i don't know. I really wish i was able to take some pictures so you could get a visual of this place. If i wasn't so scared and i could play horseshoes it might be a pretty good time. After I witnessed this event for an hour it was time to take off and go play some pool. I don't know if it was the perfect amount of beer, the strength and bar room knowledge i obtained from being there, or just a fluke, but i shot the best pool i have ever shot i think in my life. Maybe next Thirsty Thursday I will do the same routine and see if it was a fluke or if maybe, just maybe being around horseshoe league can bring the best pool player out of me. Let's take a quick look at our weather shall we. Hey Ollie what's the weather looking like today? "IT'S GON' RAIN!!" Thanks Ollie. Well this is beernuts signing out, stay classy upstate NY. Let's now go to our Asian Correspondent Tricia Takanawa...

Congrats To Section X

Just want to give a BIG congratulations to all the section X team's on a successful year and to all the team's that represented us in the final four. Class A Malone girls won the State Championship, Hammond Girls won the Class D State Championship for the second year, and Chateaugay boys won the Class D boy's State Championship and it was the first boys state championship ever in basketball. All in all Section X has been able to win basketball, soccer and baseball state championships over the last couple of years. I believe it was Parishville Hopinkton in 2002 in baseball, Colton-Pierpont last year in soccer and of course Chateaugay in basketball. Our team's are becoming more and more competitive in the state which is finally good to see. I don't know if it has to do with this generation of athletes up here or if it has to due with the realigning of stuff in the state. Either way good for Section X and congratulations to all the athletes, coaches, and communities for their success.

Still Alive No Big Deal

Thanks for everyone who was concerned as to if i was alive still or not. Been occupied with some other things and haven't found the time to post I'm sorry. With my MLB2K8 addiction taking up most of the free time, work has been pretty hectic the last week or so, and with coaching baseball and basketball doesn't leave a ton of extra time to just relax and post. I did survive St. Patricks Day hope everyone else did. I also hope everyone was to at least one good drunk day whether it be during the weekend before or on the Monday. Also I have been busy helping to set up our big fantasy draft that is going on this Saturday at Club DT in central Heuvelton NY, AND yes I know it sounds like I live a crazy life when actually I do not, I am helping to plan a softball team for the up and coming season. If interested please let me know especially if you are a good pitcher. Alright bye for now.

Bench Clearing Brawl

In my fantasy baseball league US Baseball Fans one of a million leagues I am in (yes I am the Fantasy King) I made a post about beaming Billy Crystal and having a bench clearing brawl to make spring training more interesting. This was two days ago. Well apparently there is a Yankee or Devilray that is in our league and decided to do it before Billy Crystals major league debut and finale. Last night Yankees Shelley (who names there son Shelley?) Duncan slid cleats up into Tampa Bay's Akinori Iwamuri don't ask me how to say that. This altercation resulted in two players and two bench coaches being ejected. It was a pretty decent hit and looks even worst in slow motion and the pictures. Personally I like the hustle and dedication these guys are showing in spring training, it really gives the 157 people in the stands there money's worth. I mean some of these guys have something to prove and this is there chance to make the show. If this Iwamuri guy isn't a lock to be in and starts a bench clearing brawl because he can't take a little cleat from Duncan then this could be is ticket back to the minors. I just feel bad for the poor kid that went there to watch Iwamuri and and Duncan play and try to get there autographs and boom brawl and ejection no autographs. Poor kids. Well it's thirsty Thursday and almost St. Patty's Day enjoy.

Dirty Girls

This world just never can be predicted. Article after article i read or hear on the news always shocks me. Of course the obvious with Eliot Spitzer. The dude is a NYS Governer he shouldn't have to pay $80,000 in money to have sex with some prostitute. I mean he should just pull out the yeah I'm the Governor of NY I'm kind of a big deal. Some kind of non prostitute women you would think would have fun with him for free. What do I know. Speaking of dirty girls according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention 1 in 4 girls have STD's. 1 in 4. That is crazy. I am glad I am not a teenager anymore. Do these kids not learn how to use a condom in health class? Just to throw some numbers at you the article says "More than one in four teenage girls is infected with common sexually transmitted diseases, federal researchers reported Tuesday. Almost half of black teens were infected." "Young women ages 14 to 19 in "alarming" numbers are contracting human papilloma virus, chlamydia, genital herpes and trichomoniasis, a common parasite, said Dr. Sara Forhan, a researcher at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) who led the study team." "An estimated 3.2 million have one or more of those four sexually transmitted diseases, or STDs." So kids watch out for teenage women these days or you might have yourself an extra itch or bump or even worst. As Rob Dydrek found out last night it's tough sometimes to find yourself a nice girl and not a dirty girl.

MLB2K8 Review

I bought MLB2K8 for the 360 Saturday and just thought I would give my opinion on it. A couple of changes have helped make the game both more challenging and more realistic. The swing stick is still the game's way to hit. Simply press down to step and up, left or right to hit. A little more fine tuned then 2k7 because the Hit Stick allows you to control if you want to go opposite field or pull it. It is also a little harder to time it then it was in 2k7 but all in all I think it's good. Another new feature is how you pitch. I started with just an exhibition game and wanted to play around and figure it out on my own. After giving up about 6 home runs to the braves in the first inning I decided I have no idea how to pitch. It shows you the motion of how you have to move the right analog stick but I needed to look at the tips to figure out the rest. I recommend you do this as well unless you catch me on Live then don't worry about it just keep coming with the Meatball. I like in the one player game from the pitchers view. The catcher calls the pitch he wants and also picks a spot to throw it to. All in all i am very impressed with the new pitching. When playing in the field to simply throw the ball has changed as well. Instead of Pressing the button to throw to the base you have to use the right stick to throw. Simply press right on it to 1st up 2nd, left 3rd, and down to home. You also have a power meter so if you throw to hard it will be a bad throw and can affect your game. Also I like this new feature. The one thing I hate is when playing the Home Run Derby you have to watch every other person in it. We were doing a Franchise and wanted to do the Derby but didn't want to watch every other person in order for us to be able to go. How hard is it to be able to simulate that? That is the one thing I am not happy with. I love the manager mode in the Franchise though so instead of just simulating you can have control on your win or lose. Most the time though I lose in heartbreaking walk-offs. Damn you Mets. I started off with the Pirates made a couple trades thought I had a decent team after starting off 2-15 and being in deep shit I quit the Pirates got hired at the Cardinals and put together an awesome pitching staff. After the all star break I saw the Braves job opened up so I jumped allover that. Made a trade or two and won the league, and am now in the World Series vs the Mariners. Started off with a lead last night in Game 1 but the game froze so we are going to reschedule it for tonight. My prediction Braves 17 Mariners 8. All in all i recommend this game to anyone who loves the 2k series baseball games. I give it a 5 out of 5 stars.

Still Alive

Yes just in case anyone cares I am still alive. Wow did we get a winter storm. We got over a foot of snow and 5-7 inches of sleet. It took hours to dig out and clear off cars. On top of all that crap coming down there was a 30mph wind to blow everything around. Thank god we did not lose power or anything. Sidewalks are still unwalkable in Canton. If that wasn't wild enough apparently it was thundering and lightning during this storm. I wish I had some pictures of this mess more so I could look at it in the middle of summer and be thankful of the nice summer weather. What's even more strange is a couple days before this massive storm it was almost 60. I am sure anyone that reads this anyways went through the same storm so hopefully you made it through it as well. Today is damn cold at -5. I can't wait for warm weather it seems so far away but hopefully we are within a week or so from it. Just so we can all think warm enjoy the sweet picture of the St. Lawrence River from good ole Lisbon Beach and Campground.

And Another Thing...

I know people are checking this site out because the counter keeps going up so let's make this interesting give me some feed back some comments something to work with. Make fun of my post, make fun of Polish people, i don't care whatever. Looking to make the site more fun and interactive so lets hear what you have to say. If not then the hell with it. PS Win at Michigan helps. Total Domination. Peace.

Winter Storm

Well we got another winter storm on this lovely March and i don't think winter will ever end. We got a bunch of ice which trapped me into the apartment today. You would of thought i could of made an awesome and better post but you were wrong. That's what you get for having your expectations about me high up there. Me and the Man The Myth The Legend are working on our NASCAR season and Pocono is a bit#$. Although The Polish Sensation claims it is the best Nascar race to go to ever even though i think it's the only one he has been to. Besides the storm and being trapped in the apartment working from home i had A TON of crap to do and got most of it done. Not that you care just a little proud of myself that's all. I want MLB2k8 in the worst way just need to get to Wal*Fart and return a game to get a game. So if any of you have it you better practice up because once i get it your done. By the way last night we had the winter sports award banquet and i ripped it up with a stellar speech. Let's see what else is going on, Favre still retired, apparently Sapp retired, and they caught the scumbag that raped a women and beat her. I hope he gets raped and made someones love toy in prison. Well back to the Nascar Season we got the poll at Michigan we are 20th in points and we have work to do son. Cuse is on tonight they need a win so tune into that game and also season premier of Ghost Hunters is on so that's sweet, not that GHI crap the real deal. I know you don't care but i rambled on for a decently boring post. If you have anything better to talk about leave a comment and i would love to entertain you. Bye for now.

Favre

Now that I got the complaining out of my system let's talk about the biggest news story. Brett Favre #4 finally retires. After having such an awesome season last year he is calling it the end. Very interesting and you know Aaron Rogers is smiling ear to ear. He only has HUGE shoes to fill no big deal. If he can come up and silence the critics they will forget about Favre in no time. He doesn't step up and the Packers suck this year not good the backup of so many years. When Favre was hurt for a little bit this season Rogers came in and did a good job i think he will be good as long as people give him a little bit of time to adjust to his new role. I guess only time will tell. I am dissapointed i was looking forwared to seeing #4 back out on the field but i guess every good thing has to end at some point. I think i am mentally tired though so i will end the Favre discussion.

My boy Big Ben signed a HUGE deal. 8 years 102 million biggest deal in Steelers history which is impressive with all of the big stars and success the Steelers have had. You the man now let's get some more weopons on O and win us another Super Bowl.

Moss signs with the Pats for 3 more years, hopefully he turns into the old pouty Moss and the Patriots sucks. I don't see that happening and for the next 3 years i think i am going to be mentally tired while watching the Pats win 3 straight. Giants got lucky to beat them this year, no way in hell that is going to happened next year. Pats win the superbowl and lose 2 games in the regular season.

Let's see what else happened in sports Crosby is coming back for the first time tonight after getting hurt on January 18th good news for my boys. Bad news for my boys Hossa got hurt in his first game as a Penguin and is out a week. Soccer of if you want or think your cool and call it futbol team Liverpool turned down a $800 million dollar offer by Dubai International Capital's to buy the team. This team was bought last year for $431 million. Let's see one year's worth of work a $369 million profit hmmmm i would of pressed the sale button. What do i know i will never get to own a $800 million dollar soccer team or even an $800 soccer team. I mean this is a team battling for 4th place in their league. For $800 million i would sell the team and buy the first place team, or hell buy another team and sell it to make more money. If i had $800 million dollars (insert song if i had a million dollars while reading this, and sorry for that song being stuck in your head for the rest of the day) i'd buy a soccer team!? Hell no i'd buy alot of other stuff maybe even a website that I had to pay for instead of this free blog. Alright well it's been fun enjoy the song. Peace in the Northeast.

Blaaaaaaaaaah...

Yesterday it was pretty nice in the 50's and today there is a winter storm advisory. We are going to get ice and snow and all this lovely weather. On top of the awesome day I've had already(a ton of sarcasm) this is just fantastic news(more sarcasm). I have the winter awards banquet tonight which will also be an amazing time. All in all not really an awesome day going on here. Not that anyone cares I will stop complaining. If you see me please get me a beer ASAP. Thanks.
